Skeleton Biscuits

Hey Everybody!
I have a surprise mid-week post for another type of Halloween biscuit! This one takes slightly less time to decorate than my cat biscuits and is a bit more spookier
So let's get started...

For these biscuits you will  need to prepare a batch of 'My Go-To Biscuit Dough' and add 2-3 teaspoons of cocoa powder to the mixture along with the flour.
Follow this recipe exactly but instead of using a heart-shaped cookie cutter we're going to use a gingerbread man one.

These can then go into the oven for about 10-14 minutes, depending on your dough thickness.

before the oven
after 12 minutes
After your biscuits have come out of the oven and have started cooling you can begin making the icing.
You'll need:
  • 150g icing sugar
  • 2tbsp water
  • piping bag
 1. Place the icing sugar into a bowl and add the water one teaspoon at a time until the icing stands in stiff peaks

2. Put your icing into the piping bag and snip off a bit of the point

3. Start by icing a face onto the biscuit

4. Next ice two dots for each hand and each foot

5. Add a spine, connect the arms and ice some knees

6. Now just connect the legs altogether

An alternative design that you can do is ice the same face and a spine. Then ice x's to represent the hands and feet. Lastly ice a couple on ribs onto the spine.

To make these skeletons creepier you can ice on some black eyes

And you're done!
I hope you enjoyed this Halloween blog post and I hope you'll enjoy these biscuits if you decide to make them!
See you soon :)
